19 December 10:45 - our play + songs for the "spectacle"
Parents,
On Wednesday, December 19th at 10:45 we will perform a small play of The Thing/Le Machin, a bilingual book that we have been reading and role playing.
Karen and I wrote a script, attached here, so you can practice at home. Please see the list of names at the bottom of the script (divided into English or Group A in red and French or Group B in blue) to see which lines your child should practice. Please open the attachment for the entire play. And please, if the children are remarkably quiet at "show time" on the 19th, don't hesitate to join in. The more voices, the merrier.

Additionally, we will be singing songs that you can practice at home as well. My songs (Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star, Jingle Bells, and We Wish You a Merry Christmas) I will send next. For now, here are Karen's songs:
VIVE LE VENT: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CZU6ZvHAm8o
Vive le vent, vive le vent,
Vive le vent d'hiver.
Qui s'en va sifflant soufflant
Dans les grands sapins verts. OH !
Vive le temps, vive le temps,
Vive le temps d'hiver.
Boule de neige et jour de l'an
Et bonne année grand-mère.
PERE NOEL: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C1oB3G3FvhE&feature=player_detailpage
L'as-tu vu? L'as-tu vu ?
Ce petit bonhomme, ce petit bonhomme
L'as-tu vu? L'as-tu vu ?
Ce petit bonhomme au capuchon pointu.
Il s'appelle Père Noël,
Par la cheminée, par la cheminée,
Il s'appelle Père Noël,
Par la cheminée, il descendra du ciel.
Il apporte des joujoux,
Il en a plein sa hotte, il en a plein sa hotte
Il apporte des joujoux,
Il en a plein sa hotte et c'est pour nous!
And lastly, I have taken photos of the children but will not put them on the blog - too many parents prefer they not be posted on the blog - but you will find them in the hallway.....coming soon!
Wishing you all a wonderful next 2 weeks of snow, cheer, and wonderfulness. Teaching your children is a joy!
