Pumpkins

Every morning, we count the children in our class and make a chain - has your child told you how long our chain is?  It is very long and very colorful.  We are also counting the days to Halloween.  This week we will carve 3 pumpkins and use the pumpkins for science and cooking experiments.  Below, is a fun finger poem we learned in class:

5 Little Pumkpins Sitting on a Fence

5 little pumpkins sitting on a fence.

The first one said, "Oh my, it's getting late!"

The second one said, "There are witches in the air!"

The third one said, "Well we don't care!"

The fourth one said, "Let's run and run and run!"

The fifth one said, "I'm ready for some fun!"

Whoo-ooo went the wind

And out went the light

And the five little pumpkins rolled out of sight!
